Today, I met caught up with some wonderful people after the IAB conference on User Generated Content and Social Networking. Appropriately sponsored by Myspace.com - this conference had the best and brightest in the industry discussing some very hot topics.
"Marketers and agencies have started to realize the potential of reaching consumers when they are viewing or participating in the creation of user-generated media. What the advertisers don't know is how to safely take advantage of the opportunities. Top brands are very careful with what content their advertising is associated. This event will address their concerns, show them how to think about media buying and provide insight into ways to effectively integrate user-generated media in their advertising campaigns." -from the IAB website.
The IAB is the only association dedicated to helping online, interactive broadcasting; email, wireless and Interactive television media companies increase their revenues. For more information you can click here.
So, I'll ask my faithful readers of this blog from all around the world, a simple question.. What would you like to see here, on Ironmitch - in terms of any advertising or products to purchase? Do banners get in the way? Post your thoughts as comments to this post.
